Any new startup you think deserves recognition? Visit the Crunchies?
There is a new awards show. Suspiciously close in time and name to The Winnies, the unfortunately named Crunchies are taking nominations.
Here is what the Crunchies are in the words of one of the creators, Read/Write Web:
“…the competition and award ceremony to recognize and celebrate the most compelling startups, internet and technology innovations of the year.
“We’re aiming to recognize things that are important to startups - web innovation, best bootstrapping, best use of viral marketing, and so on. There are also product type categories - e.g. mobile, video.”
So if you happen to know of a company that you think is worth nominating/voting on, head on over there and choose from categories like, ‘Best Overall’, ‘Best start-up CEO’, ‘Best video site’, ‘Best user-generated content site’, ‘Best technology innovation / achievement’, etc. Plenty of categories to choose from. You have until Wednesday, December 12th. Then it will be time to vote on the finalists. But don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted.
