The quality of your audio and video

Jeff Hibbard just posted a video on Seesmic. I responded in Seesmic, but also wanted to say something here.

It is not about the audio and video quality, it is about you and what you have to say/contribute. I say “say/contribute” because this is an audio and video medium, what we see can be more powerful then what we can say. Now I’m not saying the video and audio can be horrible and that is acceptable, and good does not equal great, but good is more then enough. Even a little less then good is still good. Am I making sense?

Just remember this… I’m a part of Seesmic for the people and the content. I’m there for the community. I’m not there because everyone has $100 web cams, is strikingly beautiful, and says so many profound things that books can be written with the content. As I mentioned above, the audio and video quality don’t have to be great. As Chel Pixie will tell you, it is not about the beauty of the individual. And while there is lots of Fantastic and profound things being discussed on Seesmic, (notice the capital ‘F’), there is also lots of funny things, regular, and some boring things too. I love it all. It helps me get to know you better.

I’m rambling now, so I’ll stop. Seesmic on!
